Lecture 1 (College Algebra)

Why does this course open an algebra sequence with logic rather than algebra itself?

1. A.Logic is the foundation that mathematics is built from, so mathematics presupposes it.
2. B.Logic is an optional warm-up that has no real bearing on later algebra.
3. C.Algebra historically came before logic and must be reviewed first.
4. D.Logic replaces algebra entirely once both have been studied together.
