Anaxagoras: Mind and Matter – Lecture 9 (History of Philosophy)

What is Anaxagoras' main complaint against Empedocles' four-element theory?

1. A.It still can't explain motion in a universe that has no empty space at all
2. B.It depends on Love and Strife, which are themselves unexplained forces
3. C.New qualities (banana-taste, flesh) still come from things that lacked them
4. D.It treats the four roots as eternal, directly contradicting Heraclitus' flux
